I live in a rural, conservative area, where homosexuality isn't common. So, due to being isolated by the community, they have more time to read and study. They will often see education as their only way out into the real world, and they value it.

I would have to agree with you, and I enjoy talking to them. It's nice to have a conversation with a teenager who has half a braincell in their heads.

EDIT: And all gays are not liberals. They are intelligent enough to see, at least now, that if the democratic party really cared about gay rights, they would have done something about it last year.
