It kind of depends on which ideology you are going from. From a Canadian perspective (which I am) I would be considered middle of the road. From an American perspective, I would be a tree hugging, socialism loving liberal.

Personally, I hate Steven Harper. I've met the man, I have a friend who's father knows him and I generally don't like him. He's charismatic, charming and incredibly boring.

I'm going for NDP, they won't be in power any time soon but I want them to at least be a strong minority. As for the Green Party they're a lost cause. They have good ideals, good policies but in the election system we have in Canada they will never have a strong voice in parliament. All of those Canadians who are strong supporters of the Green Party should rally behind the NDP, use their numbers to assert their views and finally get a progressive socialist government.

Mind you Steven Harper is a great man to have at the stern during an economic crisis, but I really feel that in a time like this and at the future we see ahead it can be a turning point in our history. We can stand beside one another and truly form a bond with our fellow Canadians to create a unique atmosphere and bolster our national unity. In times of strife is when greatest passions flare.
