Liberal Party Tony Abbott

Jimmie Said:

If Tony Abbott can break a promise made to his wife, Can we expect him to break promises made in the campaign?

We Answered:

He probably didn't have his promise to his wife written down.
Therefore on his own admission it's almost certainly a lie.

Enrique Said:

What do you think about PM Julia Gillard asking at Bathurst that Tony Abbott not to bring down her government?

We Answered:

Bella - it's a pleasure to see someone awake in Australia - ring me sometime.

Asking Big Tony would be a political ploy - see - the dirty swine brought down MY government, even when I asked him nicely not to do that - just for the benefit of the people, you understand.

I still think that La Gillard has a very short time to remain as PM - nobody wanted her as was shown by the election result and the formation of a Clayton's government - not a Labor government at all, mind - and the Labor power brokers are well aware of that. I think they are waiting for the right moment.

As for La Gillard herself - she made a serious gaffe for Australian ears with that comment about Mark Latham :-"I am the Prime Minister of this country - not a human interest story". Many saw this as a true indication that her real interest was her own ambitions, and not the people of this poor, benighted country beset by two such dismal parties vying for total control over its people (ask me if you're interested). People in Australia don't like the ego-driven.

As for the 'government', I still expect that we will be returning to the polls, since I just can't see there being ongoing agreement with Labor's super-Socialist policies from the Independents - and Labor is not going to let go of those pet ideas any more than any other political movement lets go of its. Funny how there's always money available for any crackpot scheme thought up in Sweden, but not enough to do what needs to be done.

I spend a lot of time on Gender Studies, and I notice that the girls who were crowing about 'Our Julia' are strangely quiet after the election. I'm preparing a submission to my local member, which I've titled 'Saving Private Labor', and am offering suggestions about what Labor really needs to do to get back on track.

With all due respect - dropping the feminist line would go a long way.

Which reminds me - whatever happened to dropping the GST? What's the current upgrading of the same old story with refugees? What's the story with the resources tax (not that I oppose it - there are reason why it should be imposed - as a Banana Republic we deserve a fair share of the profits - not just open-ended selling. And resources are becoming scarcer). Why is alternative energy not seen as a strategic necessity in view of the turnover point in petroleum consumption in 2007, and the crisis expected around 2035 unless major new reserves are found? Why are we still sending our industry and our jobs offshore and developing a 'service' economy (read Banana Republic again) which will fall once the aforementioned petroleum crisis hits home?

All these questions - who would have expected the Spanish Inquisition? I shall have to ask my little imp, who sits on my left shoulder - he knows lots!

Concerning the Australian government...?

We Answered:

You know, I was thinking the same thing just yesterday. So, I went to google and typed in Australia Global warming' and hit 'search' up came a ton of sites. I read some of them and found the answer.

One of them is below.

Love,
The Homework Fairy.

BTW, most brochures have a multiple of 4 pages. For a 6 page one you have to use a 'tri-fold' format.

Sandra Said:

How does the 3rd best candidate, and outspoken Climate-Chg sceptic, secure leadership of a conservative party?

We Answered:

The candidate can win the same way the other candidates do. Tony Abbott can use both positive and negative campaigning to both promote his candidacy and to attempt to destroy the other candidates. He will use that vote on climate change legislation against his two opponents in a series of negative campaign ads. Some people will join his side just because of this vote, because some people care enough about a single issue to vote for the person who agrees with them regardless of the other things they believe. If he is smart he will also pick the sides of the issues most Australians are on or match his opponents on all of their positions so this is the only issue he differs with them on.

Jackie Said:

Long Term Older Liberal Voters..Do you Respect Malcolm Fraser ?

We Answered:

I did,but not any more.Like Hawke & Keating he should pull his head in and stop mouthing off about the present day pollies. As for his comments about Abbott, he & all Australians have a right to fear all those boat people as any terrrorist could get into the country that way. It's foolish to bury your head in the sand & try not to see or care who comes into our country. As it is the country is overrunwith ethnic gangs & criminals.

Erika Said:

Will Australia's new leaders be Abbott and Costello?

We Answered:

That's DEFINITELY one of the draw-backs of a democratic society , it gives voice to everybody INCLUDING the Morons who have no Idea what the helll they are talking about ...

sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh * With Zuch, on this one LOL

BUT yes WON'T the cartoonists have a field Day .. !!

Enrique Said:

Can the Liberal Party be lead by a complete Joke in Abbott?

We Answered:

What a curious selection by the Liberal caucus ( or whatever they call their party rank and file nowadays) The third best nominee for the leadership position came out of left of centre or right to centre as the case may be.

He, Hon. Mr.Tony Abbott (Lib), is an aesthetically virile political personality, albeit, being a Papist prodigy, who is supposed to inject virility into seemingly lethargic opposition frontbench, and it is hoped that this would deflect the opnion poll ratings of a hitherto stagnant political frontbench for the opposition party.

It seems that most Federal MPs have become frontbench shy within the Coalition party, and no one wants to sit in the opposition portion of the federal house of representative frontbennch, it is bad Feng Shuai for the liberal National coalition party and the musical chairs game is continued to be played until the coalition party return to the other side of the house.

In truth, I am unconvinced that Tony Abbott will last the distance and perhaps he may be toppled by someone from amongst his frontbench colleagues as well.

The present leadership incumbency is a 'fools crown' and the Hon. Mr. Tony Abbott, has yet to fully consolidate his leadership credentials and he is presently being considered as the 'nightwatchman' until he earns some valuable runs during his innings.

Hon Mr. Tony Abbott may come into his own come 2010, however, it will have to be after Feb 2010 after Malcom Turnbull crossess the floor in support of the ALP ETS policy. When this happens the fractures within the Liberals/Nationals will come to the fore and the future turncoat for malcom Turnbull may indeed mean that he may even consider switching political alliegences and go in to bat for the ALP. The ALP will consider this sculp as the ultimate victory in ALP political history since John Curtain recalled the troops to South East Asia to protect Australia after the fall of Singapore in 1942.

Why, because this is what the Australian Republican movement have been after all along!

Discuss It!
