Liberal Vs Labour
Teresa Said:
Why do so many republicans here want labor unions and corporations to have complete control of our government? We Answered:
Free speech does not equate to complete control of the government unless one believes Americans are total sheep. I don't believe that.Jamie Said:
Australian politicians vs ?We Answered:
This is why we have a hung parliament. We have got a group of people in the Australian parliament who are not there to serve Australia as they claim. They are there because they are career politicians. They went into politics because it is a well paid job and when they are finished there they will end up in an even better paid job - they hope. The result is that they rule Australia from one election to the next, trying to get in by offering tax cuts and skiting that they have the lowest rates of inflation; when they have no control over it the Reserve Bank does. Neither party has a Vision, Mission or any Strategic Plan for the Australian nation. In other words they do not know how to manage Australia as a business that is a paying proposition. They do not know how to plan for the long term future of the country to keep it safe for us.
I agree with you. All they do is bag one another. They have sent most of the nations farmers to the wall with their free trade agreements. The level of farm suicides that Bob Katter - the Independent member for Kennedy - talks about is not an exaggeration. Some farmers also took there wives and families with them when they committed suicide. The past fifteen years under the Howard government has been horrendous for farmers. Although the economic reforms started under Hawke and Keating they were worst under Howard. We have also lost manufacturing to overseas countries.
There may be an argument that bringing in cheap imports will mean that we get cheaper food at the supermarket etc. But if we are all out of work or farmers and small businesses are out of business then what it the point. Where I live a lot of people are turning there back on large supermarkets and going to farmers markets to buy from local farmers so as to keep Australian farmers in business - buy organic and also to reduce the carbon footprint that getting food makes. Most of the imported food - we should not be importing food - Australia is capable of growing all the food that it needs and more - is flown in and the increases the pollution of the environment.
Our politicians are wasting money on a whole lot of rubbish when they need to build hospitals and fund more wards. They are also talking about increasing the GST Goods and Services Tax. There are wards sitting empty here on the Far North Coast of New South Wales because the New South Wales government won't fund nurses for the beds. This is another inefficiency. However they waste Billions on administration.
I think that the main reason for this is career politicians. The career politicians are university educated and mostly upper middle class city dwellers who don't relate to the outer suburb and rural and regional areas dwellers. So there is a disconnect as to what the great majority of Australians that they are running the country for are thinking. I call it "Marie Antoinette Syndrome". They have lost touch with the majority and live in an unrealistic bubble. I don't know what will happen when the bubble blows but the hung parliament should bring them to their senses.
That's by two bobs worth.
Cheers!!!

What's the difference between Republicans and Democrats? We Answered:
Mr. Ralph Nader adds another dimension to the issues. See the following link:http://www.votenader.org/issues/
As far as I can tell the Democrats are the same as Republicans, except that they claim to be on the side of the people. Their actions reflect the truth, however. Both parties seek support from large businesses. You can count on both parties taking the corporate side on each of these issues.

Is this true about Liberals vs conservatives? We Answered:
True so very true.
