Mathematics For Liberal Arts
Carol Said:
What classes should I take in math to prepare for the USNA?We Answered:
Take the most challenging math courses that you can that lead towards calculus before you graduate. The Naval Academy has thousands of kids applying who are near the top of their class -- don't slack off.Audrey Said:
Why there are Mathematics courses which are for Liberal art students? We Answered:
It's a very good question.College graduation requirements requires all students to have a certain level of minimum mathematic skills. While some majors require higher skills in math, liberal arts students (in such studies as, history, theatre, etc.) need the basics of math so that they are able to survive in the real world.
I graduated with a degree in a "liberal arts" topic, and I had to take a math course that was made for liberal arts students. It covered algebra, logic, statistics, and geometry.
