Nb Liberal Party

Edith Said:

Did u c this article on Obama and Corporatism etc? Not a source I usually read, but well thought out?

We Answered:

In essence, and he doesn't say this because it would go against his demonizing of Obama (and don't get me wrong, I disagree with most of Obama's economic platform) is that there is absolutely no difference here between Obama and past Republican/Democratic regimes. All reform has tradeoffs (think Glass-Steagall, in which the repudiation of the bill made billionaires out of investment bankers and led to our current mortgage mess - passed by a Republican congress and signed by a Democratic President), the role of Halliburton in government, the lack of procurement reform in the federal government which allows linked contractors to keep contracts and then submit price overruns ($700 hammers for example). Look through almost any piece of legislation that affects business over the past say 75 years and you can find where lobhyists have gotten their fingers into the pie.

Carney's criticisms are valid, but he needs to address both sides of the aisle in these criticisms

Do you AGREE (see below) about Australian Politics ?

We Answered:

In answer to your multi-part question,
a) Sometimes it is not a good thing to have differing state and federal ruling governments as the federal government is capable of withholding budget monies from the states. Like governments in both federal and state will usually benefit the state when it comes to allocation of budget monies. Allthough it is good to have differing parties as it "keeps the bas@rd$ honest"
b)It is always good for a ruling government to have the majority in the senate, so they can push through all the laws and budgets they need to fulfill their terms in office, however, as with the current regime`, they can see this as a mandate to change all manner of rules and regulations carte blanche, (this does not refer to anything that willll affect our rights outlined in our constitution, can only be changed by referendum) without a thought as to how the electorate feels about it. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
c)the idea of no party gets three consecutive terms would be a very difficult constitutional change. I fully understand and appreciate the idea behind this thinking, but if the majority of Australians want to elect a party for a 3rd consecutive term, then they should have (and do have) the right to elect them. In the case of a great ruling party, and where the opposition parties have no great leadership, I fail to see why we should have to elect a lame party to lead the country just because the old one has been in too long.

Did I get $155,000,000 from some Russian oil company?

We Answered:

It's a SCAM! Don't reply to it. They will try go get your bank account number and try to clean you out. Delete the e-mail, nothing is free. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Arthur Said:

I feel like my parents suffocates me (not literally)?

We Answered:

well, first off, you're eighteen, so they can't really tell you whether to go to project graduation or not, you are a legal adult/ as for your weight issue, 135 lbs is not fat at all!!!! you would definitely look gorgeous in a dress. don't mind what your parents say to you, its what you and your close friends think that matters. parents often vent their own frustration on their kids and don't realize the effects it has on them. if possible, try and move in with a friend if it really is too much because you cant change someones mentality overnight. but before you consider moving out, try talking to them, maybe they just don't understand they are making you feel bad. you see like a very smart, attractive girl and i sincerely hope that things start to look up for you.

good luck and hope this helps xx

Why did the liberal blogosphere desperately want the Times Square bomber to be a "tea bagger", & not a muslim?

We Answered:

Ummm, since when is one blogger equal to the entire liberal blogosphere? And at the time, it was reported that the bomber was white. If he was white, it is very reasonable to suspect he could be a Christian Militia member. Or are you now against racial and religious profiling because it affects white Christians?

Glenn Said:

Do U truly know what What Amnesty REALLY Means Do U agree with this article the truth behind Amnesty?

We Answered:

Ah I did miss you! To the poster that claimed we are all immigrants you are right, even the "native americans" immigrated from Asia. Now, get over it, move on, assimilate. We are in a different world, we have laws, laws that need to be enforced before the U.S. becomes another nasty country like Mexico minus the tourist sites that Americans spend millions. See the irony...........

Discuss It!
