Carole Said:
What is a more fulfilling college experience, public/private/liberal arts college? We Answered:
Every experience is going to be different based on the individual; it can't be dictated by the college itself. Your circle of friends, your major, your study habits and your professors all make up the circle of what your college experience is all about. I went to a small liberal arts private college...in some respects it was boring and then again it wasn't but some things are what you make it.Chad Said:
Private Liberal arts, or Public university? We Answered:
public universities are generally bigger, with a bigger variety of majors but it is much more difficult to move between majorsprivate liberal arts schools are smaller, and you have to take a "core" of a certain amount of math, science, english, history, etc and you generally don't have to declare your major until the end of your sophomore year.
so generally, if you know what you want to do/major in, a bigger school might be better for you. if you aren't sure and want more personal attention, perhaps a smaller liberal arts school is better. it all depends, and also there are some small, public liberal arts schools and some large, private universities. i would start with figuring out if a bigger or a smaller school is best for you, and go from there! good luck!

Large public University or small private liberal arts college? We Answered:
Of course it all depends on you - which environment do you better learn in. I started at a small private school and did ok, I just wasn't ready for college at that point. I took a few years off, moved out, grew up, etc. Then, I went to a large university where I was just a number and all I had were TA's and not actual professors. I did HORRIBLE. I failed almost every class. I am now at a small state university, where I never have a TA and I know all my professors very well - on a first name basis. My GPA has gone up incrediblly much. I love it!Connie Said:
What is your favorite private liberal arts college/university and why?We Answered:
My favorite is Pitzer College in Claremont, CA because they have great social sciences and media studies, are socially-conscious and they have a beautiful campus not too far form the city and in sunny CA!!http://www.campuscompare.com/college/?co…

Is going to a private liberal arts college worth the cost?We Answered:
Not so much for your undergrad degree. The real issue is with your Masters and Doctorate level. If you can save some money on the BA, I would do it.Jean Said:
