UF is definitely not a Liberal Arts university. If you look at the cutbacks UF have been doing over the past 2 years, most of it have been in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. UF has cut several Liberal Arts programs even before it considered cutting their recreational scuba classes and other non academic courses.

If you want to major in Liberal Arts, go to one of the smaller private universities in Florida or go to FSU.

In all honesty, if you are struggling with Biology and Chemistry and keep making C's, med and pharm schools won't let you in. And, if by some miracle you do get in, you won't make it. ALL med school classes are Bio/Chem based. All of them. Anatomy is bio, histology is bio, Biochemistry is one of the biggies your first year, Physio is bio, chem, and physics, Pharmacology is almost all chemistry...the list goes on and on. And, med school level (and pharm) are MUCH harder than undergrad ever thought about being.

Not being mean, just being honest with you. If you can start pulling A's and a few B's in bio, chem, and physics, go for it. But if not, stick with a liberal arts major and go to law school. If you can pull your overall GPA to at least a 3.4 and your science GPA to a 3.0 you MIGHT get into med or pharm school. You could always go on to a Master's in bio if you didn't get in and then apply to med/pharm if that's really what you want.

http://www.las.uiuc.edu/about/fastfacts.… They only admit 100 each year into their honors program. I am sure that you have won awards in high school or from your community that you are just not remembering. I think as long as your GPA is excellent and you have a well rounded scholastic and community experience the lack of awards will be alright.

you should just figure out what would you like to do. imagine yourself working as a pharmacist then as a doctor and as a lawyer,which one interests you the most?for me it would be med school but that's just me.imagine yourself in those jobs and see if one of those jobs makes a bit bored,if yes then imagine doing that job for30+ years.choose something that excites you.
