I'm sick how this Abbott a$$hole bashes the Climate Change Bill that we need so urgent. If you actully didn't waste your entire life "serving your country" you would have found out that climate change is real. How can you right-wing scum still care about high taxes and all the Debt? My generation has to pay for it and not yours. It's my generation that has to deal with all the consequenses caused by not passing a Climate change bill, not yours.

I'm not a member of the Liberal party, but I have noticed the same thing you have with the different factions and wildly different ideas. Surely there has to be some "middle ground" like you suggested.

I just wonder if, for your membership, how much say would you get in the direction of the party? Indeed I believe they are heading for defeat in the next election because of this very issue, but I would be very concerned if Labor got another term to mess things up, particularly with a new left wing leader now.

I can't really tell you if you should renew your membership, and I haven't had much personal experience in political membership myself. But I would do whatever I could to change the direction of the party as quickly as possible, talk to people, send emails and approach other members with your concerns. I have noticed that it looks like Gillard could call an early election!

For the time being it is good because Labor can build the NBN which is really important for our future. Libs are so silly stuck in the past; they just do not get it that the NBN is like building the railways over a 100 years ago...

What surprised me is the mad monk did not lose it after the election. He was very calm and disciplined when he lost... I think Labor underestimated Abbott's popularity and ability to attack them; he has the potential to cause problems for Labor if the Libs do not self destruct.
