Jon Said:
Whats a good college for me to transfer to?We Answered:
your best bet for alot of fraternities and good academics is a bigger state school. Obviously some state universitites are a joke compared to others, but if you look into the state schools in your state or in states nearby (if you don't mind out of state tuition) to find what you are looking for. Plus, with a big state school, they have a larger variety of classes and majors you can go into. Look into what schools have good programs for your major.Vincent Said:
Which college in London is the best for study abroad? We Answered:
Leeds is not in London! Its up north. All the others are very good universities, but your subject choice is not clear - liberal arts is not a degree course in England, you need to look at the University League Tables on the Independent and Guardian websites to get an idea from the subjects that are related the most to your American course.

What college should I transfer to?We Answered:
I would suggest UIC. Just be mindful that living in a city can get expensive and may compound the financial burden you would face in paying for college. University of Houston is not a bad place to go either. It's highly affordable and is respected in the region.Alfredo Said:
Is my resume too short? How does it look?We Answered:
Bullets are good for resumes, paragraph form is not appealing to the eye and your resume wont stand out. It's way too short right now. Under skills i would remove the first two bullets- those really belong on the resume cover letter, not the actual resume. Under skills you can also add in the number of words per minute that you can type, if you're familar with any other languages, and any other programs or databases you know. Work on getting more experience with the computer so that "familar with" can be changed to"experienced with" it makes a big difference and you'll use those skills in just about every field. Put alot more about your work and volunteer experience- what tasks did you work on, what were all of your responsibilities, think about what a typical day was like? Get references from people you have worked with and teachers, in case you're asked for them. You want to show the company that you are the right person for the job- why should they hire you? Include your GPA and any honors or achievements you received in school, have a copy of your transcripts with you. Include your high school education as well, GPA, etc. If you need help writing your resume/cover letter, guidance counselors are an excellent resource. Good luckElla Said:
Help a distraught Junior in college out?We Answered:
This isn't the answer you expect- don't worry about going to an elite undergraduate school. Go to a decent undergrad school and then go someplace elite for graduate school. If you do well as an under grad and are a minority, you have a good chance of getting a fellowship or assistantship. If you are from NJ and are going to a CC, I have one biased word for you:
RUTGERS
My B.S. from Rutgers got me into MIT.
My son's B.S. from Rutgers got him into Duke Law
My daughter's B.S. from Rutgers landed her in a virology lab at Yale.
Got the picture?
The graduate degree trumps the undergrad degree. Why spend a lot of money for the later?

Should I take AP Calculus, and chances for N.Y.U?We Answered:
Go with the English courses. No point struggling in a class that won't help you with what you want to pursue. You already have another math class anyway (which I took, by the way, and fortunately for you, you don't have to be good at math at all for it because you're primarily memorizing formulas and tons of conditions). As for your chances at NYU, the only glaring problem in what you've listed is your SAT score. I suppose around a 2000 on the SAT would give you a decent shot at NYU.
