Vivian Said:

We Answered:

Elizabeth Said:

what's the difference between a university and a liberal arts college?

We Answered:

My undergrad school was a small liberal arts school and grad school was a state university. The course offerings were much more comprehensive at the larger state university. I studied biology for my BA and had to take a number of undergrad courses at the university to make up for deficiencies in the undergrad degree when working on the Masters in Botany. I loved my small college but missed out on some of the electives I would have had available to me at a larger school.
(We did have some grad degrees at the small college, mostly in education and business, Masters only, no Ph.D. programs)
