What types of music do you think associates with liberalism and conservatism? We Answered:
I would add hip-hop and jazz to the liberal list, and I would add country/western to the conservative list.Ben Said:
What's the difference between neoliberalism and classical liberalism? We Answered:
Neoliberalism is modern conservatism, you don't have to take my word for it, see the wiki link below. They believe strongly in the power of money and the market.Classical liberalism is less about money, more about limiting the power of the government and using it to ensure that individual freedoms, rights, equality and national liberties and justices are protected from the government itself, other individuals and other powerful entities like corporations, the market and business people. For example liberalism was the driving force that got child labor abolished.
Don't you believe it, a lot of conservatives are calling themselves 'libertarian,' which essentially another word for liberal, these days when they're just cold-hearted super-capitalists who tend to defend anything a corporation does, no matter how crooked it may be, because they hope to have that kind of power themselves at some point. That's not libertarian and they're defiling it by using it as a political ploy like that.

Is liberalism best defined as doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result? We Answered:
You're a glutton for punishment aren't you my dear? You know as well as I that you will never get a liberal to acknowledge the faults and failings of themselves and those the subjugate themselves to. They will simply blame racism, oppression, Republicans, or the scapegoat du jour, Bush.Kenneth Said:
Liberalism?We Answered:
Liberalism is an ideology, philosophical view, and political tradition which holds that liberty is the primary political value.[1] Liberalism has its roots in the Western Age of Enlightenment, but the term has taken on different meanings in different time periods (there exists a large difference between classical liberalism and modern liberalism).Broadly speaking, liberalism emphasizes individual rights. It seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected.[2] In modern society, liberals favor a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed.[3]
Me: Yes, this is what it means. I wonder how many people will give this definition thumbs down because it doesn't fit into their opinion and bias.
