What Jobs Can You Get With A Liberal Arts Degree
Jeffery Said:
What can I do with my degree in liberal arts?We Answered:
Liberal Arts is a joke. It means you never got good enough to zero in on a REAL major. Either that, or you couldn't make up your mind what interested you. Either way, it's not going to be criteria for being hired for a specific job. You took a wide range of general classes, thats all. That particular degree is not in demand. I know of no job qualifications which would be so general to acknowledge a liberal arts degree as a skilled academic choice.

liberal arts are good if you are looking to go to another program after college..Laurie Said:
How important is it to have a business degree in a business job? (versus liberal arts degree)? We Answered:
It depends. For something like accounting, you must have an accounting background. Other areas are less dependent but the hard part will be getting your foot into the door. Entry level business positions typically will require a bachelor's degree in a business area. If you don't have one, you are at a significant disadvantage with respect to the hiring process. And remember, there are no shortage of business degree recipients so it will be tough making yourself stand out as a viable candidate. In the past, this was not nearly the case but things have changed a lot.Cheryl Said:
What kind of jobs can you get with a Associates of Liberal Arts degree? We Answered:
An associate's degree isn't considered to be a degree by anyone that hires, and liberal arts doesn't begin to train you for anything, so if that's what you are thinking to get, then re-examine your options and get something that will prepare you to enter some occupation, perhaps a 2-year medical program or something, like x-ray tech. With that, you could get a job. If what you have now is an associates of Liberal Arts degree, then if at all possible, continue on to get a four year degree in something more specific. If you have no more money for school, perhaps you should take a look at the military. There are a lot of opportunities in the military and it's a lot more enjoyable than you might think, unless you are in a direct combat group.Barry Said:
What kind of jobs can you get with a liberal arts associated degree? We Answered:
Janitor, nurses aid, laundry worker, laborer, delivery truck driver etc.You can volunteer at a day care place to teach art to kids. Then if you wanted to pursue a career in that you'd need to go back to school.

What types of jobs can you acquire with a Liberal Arts Associates degree? We Answered:
You can get excellent jobs with lib arts degrees, but not with lib arts associates degrees... associates degrees are always tough to work with -consider applying to *any kind of job you can get* -- because that's going to be the job that gets you through your B.A.
talk to an employment counselor at the place where you got your degree from and ask for advice. they will know how to help.
it will be tricky
