Is a BA in the Liberal Arts with a concentration in a certain field at New School University in NYC worth it?We Answered:
Your mind will not be set to rest by the answers here. The only people who can do that are the people at the New School. Go to the admissions office, ask to talk to someone in the Liberal Arts program - as high up as possible - and ask him/her very specific questions about what graduates of the liberal arts program have done after graduation over the last THREE years. Be hard nosed - it is your money. They are not doing you a favor by admitting you - they are adding to their bottom line. How do I know? I worked in a tier 1 University for 15 years.

Do you need a doctorate degree to teach full time at a 4-year liberal arts college? We Answered:
Look up the faculty of those schools - it will show their education history, and give you a good idea of who they hire. Here, I looked it up for you :
"The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 5 years of related experience"

Should I go to a 4 year liberal arts college or art and design college? We Answered:
Sometimes its really great and a little easier to go to a school that just offers classes specifically to fashion design. This way you can take the classes get your degree and if it is something you are really into, go back to a 4 year school and add to it. A lot of times you dont need the whole 4 year though and this is a great way to get a foot in the door. The link below has a list of schools that offers fashion design programs all over the country. You can sort by state and zip and city even. I guess it doesnt hurt to get a little extra information about all the schools! Good luck in your decision!Lydia Said:
What are some jobs in law enforcement with a two year Liberal Arts Degree? We Answered:
I believe to be a policeman you just need HS diploma. Also most security companies do not require 4 year college degree. Just make sure your background is clean.Antonio Said:
Are liberal arts colleges usually better for a 4-year degree than a university? We Answered:
Not necessarily. Some liberal arts colleges are better than some universities, some worse. You do tend to get the classes you want/need more easily if that's the only reason you'd spend 6 years at a university.Reginald Said:
Is it easier to transfer to a 4 year college from two year when your major is liberal arts?We Answered:
In general, most courses numbered 100 and above will transfer, but it depends on the two institutions involved. Your academic counselor at the CC should be able to help you. Liberal Arts is what most transfer students at a CC take, ,so there's no problem.Rebecca Said:
Can one transfer to cornell within one year in a Liberal arts college? We Answered:
yeah. There isnt that much of college classes for them to look at.Cornell doesnt really accept transfers within one year. Usually, the transfer students applying to Cornell would have completed all of its requirements and have a 4.0 GPA. I think if you only complete 1/2 of the job, you would be at a disadvantage because the other applicants would have completed the entire job (2/2) and since Cornell is a very selective school, those students would be in a better position to get in.
