Repubs say the same thing about Dem talk shows, etc. Know what that means? It means we're a nation divided.

What's weirder is we've let ourselves become divided by issues that don't really exist; we embrace ideologies that no one really stands for and believe we must oppose ideologies no real person universally defends.

the people I have run into here in NJ who are anti-Obama are, for the most part:

Rural, white, and mildly ignorant. They often think that Obama is going to take their guns away or has some kind of socialist/fascist/communist agenda (to these folks these are all interchangeable adjectives meaning the same thing) or he wasn't born n the US. On several occasions, I've heard derogatory remarks about Obama's ethnicity and skin color ("I can't vote black", "he's only president because he's black", etc.).

These are the people who have an intense hatred for the man. I know several people (of all stripes) who disagree with him and are able to critique without resorting to race or conspiracy theory. I have no problem with that. it's the racists that I've got an issue with.
