Campbell sound like a good possibility to take a look at. Something has to be done or we will never be able to crawl out of the hole that we have dug ourselves into. The problem is that the term is still nearly three years longer and how much more damage will be done in that time?
November may give us some reprieve if the balance of power can be moderated enough to stop this insane spending.

The intelligent Republicans certainly are not accepting Birthers. The National Review, arguably the most conservative magazine in the US, denounced the Birthers. Of course, the National Review is a relatively intellectual magazine that most likely has narrow appeal. The Republican party has lost the more educated wing of its base, and has turned into a party whose base is Southern and not particularly educated.

Because many of the items pushed by Obama, Reid, Pelosi, were so bad, even some of their fellow democrats had to say no. You know an idea sucks when you can't even buy the vote of one of your party members.
