The more extremists the GOP becomes, the more reasonable democratic policies become. They are just shooting themselves in the foot. They will turn around and dump the far-right extremists at some point.It is in the best interest of the GOP and country for lawmakers to work on this. If they can find something that does better than cap and trade, great. It works pretty well for SO2, but I agree that CO2 is a different animal. But, it is the best model we have for now, and if the GOP has no ideas and not input to solving the problem. They just sit in the corner and let Beck and Limbaugh's whining define them (party of cry-babies, denialist and obstructionist).. Nothing gets resolved by obstructing solutions and denying science. People will figure out who is trying to help and who isn't.
GOP now means "Grand Obstructionist Party."
