Delaware Republican Primary 2010

Gladys Said:

Worldwide is there any party-wide rejection of climate science equal to that of American Republicans?

We Answered:

Russian communists earned the term "ecocide" to describe their environmental record.

Not being an American, I don't have a good idea of what a Republican is so lets do a comparison to figure it out.

Environment
Soviets ecological disaster: pollution is ignored
Republicans: denial of environmental effects from pollution

Media
Soviets: Pravda
Republicans : Fox News

Security
Soviets: KGB, GRU, Gulag
Republicans: CIA, Homeland Security, Guantanamo

Politics
Soviets: dictatorship by an oligarchy
Republicans: rule by economic elites

Elections
Soviets: one party
Republicans: dissenting votes not counted
Foreign Policy
Soviets: invade Afghanistan
Republicans: invade Afghanistan

Economy
Soviets: economic stagnation, massive debt from military expenditures
Republicans: economic stagnation, massive debt from military expenditures

Health
Soviets: state health care
Republicans: reject state health care

There seem to be a lot of similarities, but Republicans are more Darwinian about their citizen's health. Did I get it right?

Billy Said:

What a surprising turn of events......Christine O'Donnell defeats Mike Castle in GOP primary...?

We Answered:

Christine O'Donnell was a leader of the Saviors' Alliance for Living in Truth, a weird anti-masturbation cult, so don't masturbate unless you are wearing "your man-pants" (whatever she means by that!).

Keep O'Donnell out of My Manpants!!

Colleen Said:

Do you agree with Karl Rove or Christine O'Donnell when it comes to the "lesson of 2010"?

We Answered:

Karl (who I think is a total bastard) is closer to the truth. The reality is, she didn't represent the Delaware voters interests, plain and simple. Delaware is a state that is moderate and respects Obama and Biden, even though they might not like everything about them, and she ran her race like foaming at the mouth tea party idiot. If she were moderate, or if she ran in Wyoming, she might have had a slim chance.

She rallied her base to win the primary, and never changed her tune for the broader electorate. And it is a valuable lesson: for the GOP in the 2012 Presidential election. The tea party may well be their undoing.
