Republican- Lower taxes, less social programs. This is basically, where you are in charge of your retirement funds. No social security. One main idea is more strict requirements for welfare. Medicare and Medicaid should be for the elderly basically.

Democrats- Lots of social programs. This is higher taxes.

This may not be exactly what you wanted, but Reagan's idea to stimulate the economy, which worked well, was just lowering taxes, more money in the hands of the people.

You can't bunch every Democrat or Republican as one entity . Some Democrats don't want government expansion and some do . Some Republicans want a flat tax and others don't .
