Democrats Vs Republicans Differences

Dianne Said:

Unbiased stand on issues (democrats vs republicans)?

We Answered:

i honestly don't know that there is an answer out there that your looking for. for example, democrats by and large are pro-abortion. pelosi is a catholic and abortion is frowned upon by the church. so is pelosi a catholic or a democrat? you could go to the far extremes of each party and where they stand is no where near where the average american stands or believes in. i'm a male and believe in a woman's right over her own body but i don't believe in "abortion on demand" so to speak. does that make me a democrat or republican? in my own life i understand that if i continue to spend more than i have or can make, i'm going to wind up in bankruptcy. does that make me a democrat or republican? i chose to think it makes me someone with common sense, something that is sadly lacking in both parties today. as long as people believe their viewpoint is correct and the only way to go we will never come together and understand our differences. that is what compromise is all about and that also has gone out the window today. sorry i can't be more helpful.

What are the main differences between the Democrat's position on healthcare reform vs. the Republicans?

We Answered:

The GOP has its own plan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-usmvYOPf… And during the eight long years that Bush the second was in power, they did not bring it in. http://www.gop.gov/solutions/healthcare As for why they are against it, that is because most of them, like some Democrats, have taken thirty pieces of silver from the (un)insurance companies.

FACT - Insurance companies in the USA admit to pushing up prices, buying politicians and not paying out claims when they should [1]
FACT - PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet [2]
FACT - Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare [3]
FACT - the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage [4]
FACT - Obama was elected by the American people to bring in change [5]
FACT - Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing American [6]
FACT - The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and Switzerland [7]

Let me know if my facts are wrong, but please provide proof.

Clinton Said:

Obama vs. McCain, what are the major differences between them and the parties?

We Answered:

Bush & McCain: Republican
George W. Bush is hated by america. Many people have lost their jobs, lost their homes, and people die because of maybe they dont have healthcare, or maybe cause they are in Iraq, fighting a pointless, useless war. Bush is a retard.

Obama- Democrat
Willing to help america. Give every American healthcare, bring our troops back, rebuild an economy that is almost detroyed. think about it, Bush has lost 70 BILLION funding for a war we shouldn't have started it in the first place.

McCain and Bush are KILLING americans.

Obama is here to PROTECT americans.

McCain fights for the rich Class. Thinking America is rich.

Obama fights for the middle and low class, knowing that america is not perfect.

Republicans vs Democrats in Presidential elections?

We Answered:

Not 100% sure what you mean by election process, but I will assume that you mean the nomination process.

Similarities:

1) Both use a convention to nominate the Presidential Candidate.
2) Both give delegates to the convention to the territories (e.g. Puerto Rico, Guam) even though the territories do not have a vote.
3) Both try to establish a calendar and punish states who go early.
4) Both have a formula that awards more delegates to states that have a history of supporting the party and fewer delegates to states that have a history of opposing the party.
5) Both have some automatic delegates by virtue of party office.

Differences:

1) The Republicans award base delegates (10 per state plus three per district) then add extra delegates based on wins in elections (including other elections besides the presidential race). The Democrats use a formula that averages the electoral vote that each state is entitled to and the popular vote that the party's presidential candidate received.

2) The Democratic rules dictate how many delegates are awarded based on state-wide results and how many are awarded based on congressional district results. The Democratic rules also require that the delegates be awarded based on proportionality (e.g. a candidate with 20% of the vote gets 20% of the delegates). The Republican rules allow each state to determine how delegates are awarded (but the new rules require early states to use some form of proportionality instead of winner-take-all).

3) The Democrats have many more automatic delegates. The Republicans have three automatic slots per state, and no more. The Democrats give automatic seats to all members of the DNC (and the DNC is much larger than the RNC), all members of Congress, all Governors, and all former party leaders (DNC chairs, leaders of the caucuses in the House and Senate, and former Presidents).

4) The Democrats have more overall delegates than the Republicans do.

5) The Democrats require that half of the delegation be female and suggest that other groups should get a fair share of delegates. The Republicans have no such requirements.

Once you get past the nomination, both parties engage in somewhat similar behavior in the general election.

Republicans vs. Democrats. Similarities and Differences.?

Although I will never agree with Unfrozen Caveman, because he is just that. Don't do your homework off this site you will only get biased slander and not real answers. Plus you should actually learn this stuff. Start at wikipedia look up Republican and Democrat then look up American politcal system, then go to each party's website.
