I'm all for EVERYONE paying their fair share of taxes!!! Deportation would be ridiculous (12 Million Immigrants @ $650.00 a head for deportation is insane!!). I don't want to pay $35.00 for a "mini-basket" of strawberries because the Agri-business had to hire people who think they're too good for "performance-based" pay and want hourly rates to pick produce (and God forbid they were to unionize!!!)

Article 18 of the United Nations' Draft Code of Crimes Against the Peace and Security of Mankind declares "large scale" arbitrary or forcible deportation to be a crime against humanity.

Basically, the parties are the same. Republicans in the past stood for conservative values such as small government, low taxes, and spending control. Since the Reagan administration they went into deficit spending by lowering taxes but spent way to much causing a spike in deficits. Also, the grew government by creating Homeland Security, expanding medicare, and enlarging the military to fight wars.

The Democrats are known for large government, progressive taxes, and spending. The Democrats really haven't changed much. They'll tax more but out of that extra tax you'll get progress like the internet, DNA mapping, and stem cell research. Basically, they pay for their spending but will create entitlements like Medicare and Social Security to care for those less fortunate.

Really, the difference between the two parties is that the Republicans borrow to support their spending and Democrats will tax to pay for their spending.

That's the reality. One last note. Both parties do pander to special interests, so their is no difference there.

democrats high paid professionals - high tech
republicans small business owners and oil money

There is a big geographical difference with over half the rich in the NE and CA democrats but not in the rest of the country.

Agreed.

Voting in opposition to every single incumbent is the only thing they will ever listen to.
Even the winners will understand that they have no ideological mandate other than truth.

The trick will be to get the media to understand the same thing and return to their core function as the vanguards of public skepticism of government.
