Federalists Vs. Democratic Republicans

Elizabeth Said:

What are some good slogan ideas?

We Answered:

Jefferson and free religion.
Through democracy to socialism.
Remember, democracy never lasts long
What is it men cannot be made to believe
A government of laws, and not of men
In politics the middle way is none at all
Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people.
Property is surely a right of mankind as real as liberty.

10 pts best answer- history Question?

We Answered:

Federalists believed in federalism and a powerful federal government to preserve order within the new-born United States. Jeffersonians believed in a limited federal government; they are similar to the present-day Libertarians.

Jean Said:

what do you think my grade will be for this report? we were only supposed to choose one person tho....?

We Answered:

If you were only supposed to choose one person you are going to lose points, if not get a zero for not following the assignment.
Also, it might not be a good idea to say, "I do not feel that either deserved the presidency, nor has any other candidate."
Why has nobody deserved the presidency?
Proofread your paper as well. There are quite a few major errors in there. Back round is supposed to be one word spelled background. Don't start sentences with 'and'
'still use today' should be still in use today or still used today
Plus alot of other errors. Careful

Gail Said:

im writig an essay on conservatism vs liberalism, can someone please help me with my intro?

We Answered:

Your sentence structure and grammar are excellent. The ideas need to tie together and flow a little better. I would delete the second and third sentences and replace them with an explanation of what these two ideologies are. The last sentence in the intro paragraph is a good segue into the second paragraph, so I would keep that one the way it is.

The first sentence in the second paragraph should mention conservatism and liberalism and tie them in with their origins in the early parties. Make a goal in mind to compare and contrast these two concepts, and always stay focused on this goal with each sentence. Every sentence should support your primary idea and build on it like a pyramid.

US History help please!?

We Answered:

G'day :)

Thank you for your question.

I would look at these issues.

State government vs Federal Government. The Federalists wanted a relatively strong Federal Government while the Democratic Republicans wanted a weak Government. The same applied to the rights of the Government vs the individual. The Federalists were more in favour of a stronger Federal government whereas the Democrats Republicans wanted more individual rights.

I would look at areas of support for the parties. The Federalists were stronger in the north particularly New England while the Democrats were stronger in rural areas in the Southern and Western states. Today the Republicans are stronger in the south while the Democrats are stronger in the North. Admittedly, most of the current states were not states in the early years so I would focus on the original 13 states and those states that were admitted by 1812.
