How many members of the House of Representatives must change hands so that the Republicans can have control? We Answered:
39 net seats must go Republican.Right now, Nancy Pelosi (speaker of the house) is 3rd in line for the presidency. The tea party is obviously the third "party". Their important ideas are deficit reduction (lower spending and taxes) and small government. In California, Barbara Boxer is running a close race. She has been in power for 3 terms and is the ranking women democratic senator. In Nevada, the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, is losing in the polls to Angle. He is the ranking senator and closely associated with Barack Obama. In Illinois, Barack Obama's former senate seat is up for election. Obviously if any of these 3 seats went Republican, it would be a huge victory for conservatives and a blow to Obama and his agenda.

How many Republicans and how many Democrats are currently in the House of Representatives? We Answered:
Democrats have 233 and Repulicans have 202.Raymond Said:
so how many representatives are the republicans really going to gain in the house in november? We Answered:
I would agree that 30 - 50 seats could be lost by the Democrats. I believe many of those seats could turn Republican.I also believe that our country has issues with both both The Democrat and Republican parties.
For this reason I would not be surprised to see Independents and Alternative party candidates win some of those seats.
I define Alternative party as any party other than Democrat or Republican.
Such as Green Party, Libertarian, Right to Life, Working Families, etc...
