They've already had denier tendencies. Most of them just represent their rabid denier constituents. Even if they believe the science, they take heat from the nuts in their party. Some of them respect the science, however.

But as this article hints, she faces scrutiny from the zealots in her party.

John Warner, former Republican Senator, spoke out in favor of climate legislation recently. Moderate Republicans Collins and Snowe also accept the science.

This may be a first...I agree with you.

I'm a scientist, and a Catholic. I agree completely, the two are not compatible issues. Of course, I'm also a conservative...so I'm not exactly a big fan of how the Republican party has been behaving for the last nine years.

it will not happen unless we as a people keep the issue alive,the liberal media is already trying to dismiss it,if this had been a republican they would call for his head,there are too many similar incidents in this administrations activities to ignore which is exactly what they want us to do.
They think the american public is stupid,why would a person give up a powerful position in the senate to take a meaningless non-paying job,it just does not make sense to even think someone would offer that,if you offer someone something for something it is going to be of equal value or even more valuable,there would be no sense in offering something of no real value for something that does have value,that the iberal elite would offer that kind if answer and assume that anyone with a lick of commoon sense would believe them shows how stupid they believe the american public to be.
You do not bribe someone with something that has no value,it just does not make sense and nullifies the whole purpose of a offer or bribe in the first place.
It funny how liberals hold themselves to so smart yet they accept this without question is a shining example of liberal hypocrisy and blind loyalty to liberal ideaology.
An independent invetigation needs to be done,you can not rely on someone doing a inhouse investigation and clearing themselves of any wrongdoing,that is complete and utterly stupid and political.The investigation must be done by an outside source not under control of the very ones being investigated,there are real grounds for looking into this yet Eric Holder Obamas lapdog refuses to do his job and actually look into it,that why someone from outside must.
