Jamie Said:

Should I believe this person to be a true representative of law abiding Republican Party Members?

We Answered:

For republicans values is a code word kinda like hiking the Appalachian Trail or bible study at the C Street House.

Megan Said:

Was T' Republican Party T' Party of "No" at Franklin Roosevelt Times Calling Him War Monger by Wendell Willkie?

We Answered:

I talked to people who lived during the Depression....they said it was horrible. People jumping out of windows...long lines....soup lines. People were starving, no work. I was told, once FDR had the banks back on track, the republicans did not want FDR to do anything for the people. So you are right...the republicans during the Depression acted just like the republicans today. I find it sickening that people today say that FDR did nothing to help the US. Seems the republicans are rewriting history. I believe the people that I talked to years ago. We have a lunatic from Nebraska in our community that lived in Baltimore Maryland...apparently she could not get along with people...and she moved to our state. She is a tea bagger who ranted about socialism of FDR. I wonder if she would be here today had nothing been done.

As to WWII, again you are right..my sources that lived through those times said that FDR wanted to join our allies in WWII...but the republicans said no...I guess they did not have everything in place back then to steal from the government like Halliburton does today. You can bet if it put money in their pockets...the would have bought into it.

Isn't it easier to be a Monday morning quarterback...saying everything that was done wrong. Just like the objections to Truman dropping the bombs...but again my good sources said I there would be a lot of people that would never have been born. Troops were on ships going to Europe to fight.

Interesting...Willkie was a Democrat at one time. But seems he did not like the TVA that Roosevelt proposed for the poor people.

Wendell Lewis Willkie (; February 18, 1892 – October 8, 1944) was a corporate lawyer in the United States and was the dark horse Republican Party nominee for the 1940 presidential election, where he crusaded against the inefficiency and anti-business policies of the New Deal, but waffled on the issue of intervention or isolation in the world war that Nazi Germany was winning.

Roosevelt found Willkie to be a compatible liberal and and brought him aboard as a special ambassador-at-large. Willkie cris-crossed the globe, bringing home a vision of "One World" freed from imperialism and colonialism. His liberalism lost him supporters in the GOP and he dropped out of the 1944 race, then died of a heart attack.

In 1933, Roosevelt proposed legislation creating the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), a government agency with far-reaching influence that promised to bring flood control and cheap electricity to the extremely poor Tennessee Valley. However, the TVA would compete with existing private power companies in the area, including Commonwealth & Southern.

Joel Said:

Should the GOP ask RINO's to leave to allow better/newer blood into the Republican Party?

We Answered:

Ask them to leave no sir!,I say throw them out, refuse them a spot on the Republican ballot in the primaries, now that is what needs to be done in my opinion. I also firmly believe in changing the name of the Republican Party to the Conservative Party and keep it conservative

Charlotte Said:

Isn't this voter intimidation? Indiana Democrat Party Chairman Dan Parker has said his party....?

We Answered:

Yes, but I've come to expect no less out of a Democrat. I would tell him to reference the civil rights act of 1964 and get the **** out of my face.

Discuss It!
