Ramon Said:

How did the outbreak of conflict in Kansas influence the rise of the Republican Party?

We Answered:

Because of Bloody Kansas (and Nebraska), the Republican party started to form. They weren't happy with the fact that some Missourians were going over to those states and voting for slavery. The Republicans didn't want slavery to grow to other states, but they didn't want to abolish it in the states it was already established in, at first at least.

Kansas was a breeding ground for murder and rogue bandits like Bill Anderson. At that time the Rpublicans vehemently opposed the Kansas/Nebraska Act, which called for letting the citizens to vote on slavery. The Repubs wanted it abolished totally north of the Kansas border.
