winner takes allDaisy Said:
why is the michigan primary held only for republicans? We Answered:
Both Parties held a primary but the Democrats stripped the delegates because Michigan voted to move their primary. Republicans took away half.Annette Said:
Fellow Michigan Residents: Who is your choice for today's primary? We Answered:
Ron Paul for Republicans because he's the only one with real solutions, he abides by the constitution and will make America a great nation againHillary Clinton for the Democrats because she wants it.
Kay Said:
Why did Democrats think it was OK to vote in Michigan's Republican primary? We Answered:
They voted for McCAin in Florida, too, after which he immediately claimed the nomination...They were allowed to, and their own primary didn't count.
How else do you explain the GOP ending up with a Democrat as a presumed nominee?
Vanessa Said:
does lack of michigan democratic primary make them look bad?We Answered:
It really throws a wrench into the primaries.Having Obama and Edwards withdraw from the ballot means there's no chance the Democratic Party can change their minds later and let delegates from the early states count if the nomination is close. In that way, Michigan affects Florida as well.
A meaningless Democratic primary is a huge wild card in the Republican primary. The number of Democrats that will vote in the Republican primary is very unpredictable and how they vote is equally unpredictable. Will they vote for the candidate they like best (McCain most likely)? Will they vote for the candidate they think is easiest to beat in November? Will they vote for Ron Paul just to give Republicans a crazy result?
I think Michigan will result in a big change to the way primaries and caucuses are scheduled in 2012. A fair way to decide which states are the early states (and not always the same early states) will have to be devised for both parties.

What are polls saying for the republican primary in Michigan? We Answered:
Romney and Huckabee are expected to fight it out.Paul is nowhere. Of the early contests Iowa and New Hampshire were his strongest.
