North Dakota Republican Party

Ronald Said:

Has the republican party Died?

We Answered:

Yes the republican party has died, self inflicted suicide. After eight years of Bush the worst president in history it will take much longer to recover then most people want to believe. I have seen the recent polls and yes it's true most red states have gone blue. I never thought I would see the day the republican party could only hold five states out of the entire country. This has been a total disaster for the republican party and as the bricks continue to tumble for rebuilding process cant begin. I guess all democrats who hate Bush really do have something to thank him for because the republicans wouldn't have fallen without him. James G. I read your link about Texas and like Texas it's out dated by almost a year and a half. The latest numbers as of last week are 48% republican and 43% democrat. Yes Texas is now considered a swing state. I have a strong feeling the republican party will be back seat riders for years to come.

Erika Said:

Is the GOP destined to become a southern regional party?

We Answered:

You may be right about them becoming increasingly irrelevant. As people become more highly educated, religious fundamentalism decreases or becomes more isolated.

As to your pre-emptive response, as far as I can tell, the closer one gets to the geographic South, the more conservative the state Republican apparatus.

I mean, the Texas Republican Party actually has a policy that part of their job is to "dispel the myth of separation of church and state." A statement like that would most likely get you laughed out of the New Jersey Republican Party (and, possibly, into a long-term mental healthcare facility.) In Texas, it could get you elected.

I have a friend who lives in Texas. When I went to visit she said, "Welcome to Texas. Set your watch back 150 years."

Anyway, an excellent question.

Daryl Said:

Right wing in America becoming a threat... To Americans?

We Answered:

Not only are they a threat to other Americans in the ways that you mentioned. They are a threat to the economic well being of the middle class. I would believe that the tea party members are 99.9% in the middle class category (the only exception would be their handlers), and that makes them a threat to themselves. I never believed that the right wing propaganda specialists could be so successful at what they do that they could convince that many foolish people to demonstrate for the dubious right to be uninsured.

Hector Said:

Will there be more Democrats jumping the sinking Obama ship?

We Answered:

Sure, and some will be thrown overboard. Reid and Dodd for sure.

Carlos Said:

The Louisiana Purchase? Ugh, help "/?

We Answered:

1. Embargo Act of 1807, decrease

2. Sacajawea, Lewis and Clark Expedition, Fort Clatsop.

3. Aaron Burr.

4. John Marshall, Unconstitutional, Marbury vs. Madison.

Mario Said:

Why is Gallup bursting the GOP bubble? Or are polls now a no-no? Again?

We Answered:

polls are only used by each side so as to bolster whatever case they argue. The only "polls" that matter are the ones voters use every two years.
