Dianne Said:
ron paul is leading the polls at 33%, what do you think about that?We Answered:
I will vote for him, and I think that a lot of people will. I think that when the primary results start coming in there will be a lot of surprised pollsters.I am not a 20 something, I am not a moron, I am not an Internet hack, I am not living off some family member, thinking that I am a reasoning adult.
I am a working adult, I support a family.
I am 56 years old.
The Internet is necessary for my business, but was difficult for me.
I am well enough educated to understand that if we don't take charge of our country, we will lose it.
I don't fit the profile that is considered the Ron Paul support base, but I will vote for him anyway.
There are many of us out here.

Its Official: Rush Limbaugh blames AZ shooting on Obama and Dems. Is anyone suprised? We Answered:
Do yourself a favor and stop listening to these right wing nutjobs. Him as well as Alex Jones and Glen Beck are just crazy. The whole occult thing with skull alter just isn't true. They made it up.Lillian Said:
What should Obama do in response to allegations of politicization of his DOJ over the New Black Panthers case?We Answered:
He needs to be honest. He didn't personally commit any crimes unless it turns out that he knew what was going on.Ramon Said:
Why do you think Republicans have flip-flopped so hard on cap and trade in the past 2 years? We Answered:
clearly, there is a republican agenda to oppose anything that Obama, and the republicans support.the issue isn't important.
the opposition is important.
we in the global warming section complain about inappropriate reporting.
over in politics it's far worse.
every single top contributor in the politics section has his/her Q&As blocked.
i have to assume that anyone that does not do that fairly quickly has enough postings reported that the id gets deleted.
politics in general is even more partisan than it was a couple years ago.
if i had to guess, i suspect that it will get even worse.
to no-one's benefit.
one might speculate that not long ago cap and trade was considered the lessor of 2 evils.
by now, the "worse" option has been eliminated, so that cap and trade is now the worst option.
however, truth is, i think that partisan politics is the real answer.
while both sides engage in the practice, republicans are better (or worse, depending on your viewpoint) at it than democrats.
there are just more votes where republicans vote as a block than where democrats vote as a block.
and it's not going to change.
with the tea party targeting any centrist leaning republican,
and corporations free to spend as much as they'd like, in any way that they'd like, any republican that does not tow the line is in serious trouble.
and with the current supreme court, and political landscape, there's not much that's likely to change.
jim z may be an example of the problem: <<The problem with moderates is that they don't believe in anything. There are no great moderates. They are the most likely to switch sides depending on which way the wind is blowing.>>
it's like Bush said, "If you're not with us, then you're against us."
Z seems to equate a moderate conscience as being the same as "which way the wind is blowing."
consider the following: do we need to ban all pesticides, in all cases, or is it okay to use pesticides no matter where it is, or who will be effected?
That's kind of where politics is today. There is just no rationality that wants to follow some middle ground.
