The term Pro-Choice relates to many areas of what began back in the early 60's...with the first big choice of wearing a bra or not (hence the bra-burning)...which I thought was kind of silly...but the Pro-Choice in the abortion issue started with a small group of activists that joined together with other activists in other areas, corporate jobs, equal pay etc...even after abortion was legalized in 1973...
Everyone equates pro-choice strictly with the abortion issue, but it seems to have wrapped itself around the whole of all pro-activists.

To say that these activists, or people who believe in Pro-Choice are only Democrats is not reality.....
It also is not something that the Govt can decide in a religious light. Under the Constitution, Religion and State/Govt are not to be entangled, so it's a very touchy subject in the political arena and why it is such a personal issue as well. No one has the right to tell another what they can or can not do with their own body. If that were the case, there would not be gender change operations etc. The right to ones own body seems to be the core of the issue.

To my way of thinking, Pro-Life is towards all life...I am against hunting, whaling, euthanization of animals at the pound, etc. Pro-Choice to me is that right to choose in the medical arena, but also includes the choice of having a weapon kept in ones home for example...
I do understand it's usage in the Political forum in its current context, and think it's an issue that will never find a compromised solution that will make either side completely happy because neither side of this issue is going to back down on their beliefs.

I went to pick up some birth control one day, and the anti-choice were picketing outside. They ran right up to me and shouted baby killer right in my face (although I was there to prevent an unwanted pregnancy). I got my stuff, left, and realized I left my wallet. When I walked back through them a second time, I proclaimed " I'm back for another one!" The couldn't believe I said it, and they just shut right up. I think when I have a child, I will walk through them and try and hand the baby to someone, just to see if they would take it! Drastic times call for drastic measures!

Educate them? "You can't fix stupid!"

They forget that pro choice supports the option to birth, being supportive of adoption and supporting the choice of abortion. They'll never get it. I guess we should jail all the dudes that whack off. ALL THOSE POTENTIAL LIVES!!!!
