Ah, yes! The Contract 'on' America. How cute was that? A modern, industrial, first world country with a government fit for the 18th century. Give the rich everything they want and wealth will trickle down on the peasants. Cut government oversight, or better yet, eliminate it and the corporate godfathers will fall all over themselves to pay good wages, excellent benefits and above all, job security. Ignore the physical and social infrastructure of the country and a benevolent deity from above will provide for the poor, the lame, the disfavored and the diminished. The roads and bridges will last forever and the natural wonders of America will at last be thrown open to every bulldozer, wood chopper, hole digger and driller in America. Say Amen! Say Amen! Corporate America can be trusted to protect the air and water and the fast eroding soil of the North American Continent....all we have to do is make 'government smaller'. We don't need no stinkin' taxes, at least not any that don't go to our bloated military...so saith Gringrich. I say it is and was a lot of BS. These bums screwed the American wage earner so bad it may be forever before most of us reach a level of prosperity that existed in the 1960's......before the neo con artists got their hands into America's shorts. Doncha' just love it?

Republicans make pledges all the time, and we alway end up wanting them out of office. This is the problem with America, we elect Democrats to make the economy stable, and successful. Ones it is successful, and stable, we elect republicans to reduce taxes, and to put a freeze on social programs. Republicans get elected, and stability and success become war, and deficits. We go through this cycle over and over again. Republicans are a bump on the road, and we need to not elect them at all. Success, and Stability should be allow to continue without the republican reversing it. We take 1 step forward with democrats, and 2 steps backwards with republicans.

It is not likely that you would fail when you have the House, Senate, White House, and the Supreme Court. Everything is going as planned for our Majority "Leaders". Mike Ruppert said it best. "When you play in a rigged game you do not have to preform, and that makes you sloppy" Their ego's are what is going to bring down the Republican Party. I don't want the Dems to be in total power either I would like a good balance so that we can start doing things the right way again.
