Republican Party Election And Campaign Reform
Sue Said:
why would anyone in their right mind support this woman ?We Answered:
Facts -Many states have sales tax that tax food.
Home owners voted for the tax increase, she supported it.
As for state debt 22 mil is nothing get real.
Ya the sports complex that no one likes but they voted for, she supported it.
All that said, I would never vote for Palin. I believe she is not competent and has no idea what the job is that she wishes to run for. Many americans will vote for her, someone dumber that Bush, that's what we need.

Would true campaign financing reform ensure we have honest politicians? We Answered:
The only problem I have with that Stephanie is that those who've donated more money to a single party would see some of their overflow finances going to a party they do not support. Though I agree excess campaign contributions can be used as a form of bribery and a temptation for corruption, the idea you have proposed could prove unfair to those who want to support their party of choice, and prevent people from being involved in the political process, as they see it unfair. I believe the current Campaing Finance Reform serves as a good temporary solution to the problems we saw with Nixon until a better solution, through debate and discussion, can be reached.Lori Said:
Should each Presidential candidate be restricted to spending an equal amount of money on a campaign? We Answered:
Then who decides who gets the money? Are we going to have 50 candidates in the next election, all spending the same amount?I'm more concerned about the way Obama 'gamed' the rules that were already in place.
Almost half his money, for example, was supposedly donated to his campaign 29 days before the election, meaning that the sources didn't have to be declared because it was after the 30 day cut-off. I don't so much mind that a lot of huge businesses gave millions to Obama... I'm more worried that they did so in such a way that we don't get to know WHO financed his campaign.

Did McCain all but guarantee amnesty for illegals ?We Answered:
Good Lord! This is the 1st I've heard of this and I'm going straight to do a heck of a lot more digging! If it's meant exactly as it sounds here, I'm going to start digging my heels in and doing some screaming to the main McCain headquarters!!This is plain bull dookie!! Living in Florida where we are overrun, to put it ever so mildly with Hispanics!! This is the one thing that would push me over the brink! Crap!!
We just heard the news that a lot of them are going back home because, "They just can't make a living anymore here, and aren't able to live so they're packing up and going home." DO I HEAR THE ANGELS SINGING!!!
WHAT ABLE TO LIVE!! They get EVERYTHING FOR FREE HERE!! They've broken our education systems because they refuse to learn English and it's all gone to haities! Crap! Crap!! Crap!!!
E-D-I-T-E-D!!!........................…
It looks as if they've got us shafted anyway we go!! I agree with the poster on here... Where do I find the bumper stickers, "Palin 08"?
These foolish, sex addicted, lying men AND WOMEN have all but destroyed America! If we don't get a well-rounded REAL WOMAN in our highest office soon there won't be anything left to save!!

Why do we give credit to Clinton for a strong economy when it was the G.O.P.?We Answered:
I think most educated people, who were of age at the time, remember the Contract with America and its significance, but usually, from what I've seen; sitting presidents get the recognition and blame for the economy during their presidency. That said, President Clinton did play a part, however. After his initial jump to the left and the subsequent democrat loses in the house and senate, giving republicans control, Bill did come to the center and even a little to the right on a lot of issues. This allowed congress to get things done. Another reason why Bill gets credit for the economy at that time is because most of the news media in this country has a left leaning bias, so that plays a part. Because the truth of the matter is that even though the economy under Bill Clinton was good for most of his term, it was a bubble. A large portion of the economy under Bill Clinton was inflated. Things began to cool down in 2000 just as George Bush was taking office.Emily Said:

Sounds like he is worth a "look/see" to me. Anyone is an improvement over who we have now.
