Republican Party Platform 2010

Why do conservatives in Texas want to ban oral and anal sex?

We Answered:

Do you even understand your own answer? I really don't think you do. The very first example you use is the fact that it is the STATES rights regarding the law, not the FEDERAL right. Conservatives do oppose big government, especially on the Federal level, but recognize local and state government as reflected by the local communities for which they are formed to "protect" and "serve". If a local or state government creates a law that still maintains the rights of the constitution, who is the Federal Government to come in and "override" that law.

The "agenda" of the gay, pornographic, petifilia and beastiology communities is to force people to ACCEPT a behavior that an average person would find disgusting (obviously in TX). To create Federal Laws in order to bring focus to these practices as a means of normality of a nation seems to be what the Republican/Conservatives of TX oppose.

Nice try in attempting to call Conservatives "perverts" all the while exposing your "bedroom" practices to all by wanting laws to uphold the acts. The sodomy laws locally were implemented by local governments. How they found the "sodomy" act being done in a bedroom in the first place poses the question to be was it done in a public way for local police enforcement to have a person be charged with the law?
EDIT:Agree somewhat with "Lag Indicator"s answer, but would pose the slant as having to accept "Abortion" in order to be a Democrat, it is attached to the Party, having Planned Parenthood being started by a know racist Margret Sanger. Pick your "poison". I would rather accept a local law reflecting the community (could always move to San Francisco) than be forced to accept a Federal law of murdering the unborn babies.
BTW: Thanks for the url of the TX Republican platform, will come in handy in my area. The second url came from the article's source reference "media matters" which was formed to specifically go after the conservative/republican agenda. Hmmm. I give you kuddos for at least putting the original platform text first. I would not have responded otherwise.

If a Democrat doesn't like something, he doesn't do it, if a republican doesn't like something....?

We Answered:

Because Republicans are Hypocrites from deficit spending to implementing ridiculous regulations that impede our right to individual freedom and choice.

What do you think about the Texas making it a law to be homosexual?

We Answered:

Without a link to a reliable reference, I find it implausible that the Texas GOP would adopt such positions.

Thanks for the link. Clearly, the blogger is manipulating their words as he attempts to understand/translate their statements. Nowhere does it say that the Texas GOP wants to put gay people in jail.

Grace Said:

lol the gop of texas want to reintroduce the blood test to get married?

We Answered:

Dr. Knowitall: Gov Perry took the stimulus bill money (which he railed against) to balance Texas' budget. Thought you should know that.

The blood test is unnecessary and it is unfortunate that the Texas GOP is taking important time to try to fix something that isn't broke. This is the problem of politicians focused on enforcing their own brand of morality.

Republicans: Do you agree with your fellow GOPers in Texas?

We Answered:

I will bet you anything that by prohibiting sodomy they mean only sodomy between two males. Probably 90% of the men who wrote that have slipped in the back door of their wives or at least their whores on the side.

What pisses me off about this is the protection of life "from fertilization until birth" thing. It's one thing to be against abortion, but a fertilization does not even become a pregnancy until it implants in the uterine wall. So because some birth control pills and the IUD sometimes stop a conception from implanting, they are being aggressively attacked by conservatives not just in Texas but in the entire United States. Where I live, for example, pharmacists are not required to honor a prescription for BC pills if it violates their personal conscience. I mean, WTF?! What if having a kid that I can't take care of violates MY conscience?! This same garbage and the push for abstinence only sex education is leading to a powerful lobby in the US to cut off funding from public health clinics to provide BC services (not even talking abortion here; I mean contraception). Pretty much the only sex education classes that receive funding now are abstinence only. Yeah, like everyone is just going to stay virginal until they are married and can support having 10 kids since birth control is going to soon be completely gone in this country. I think it's ironic that conservatives don't want birth control, and yet they also are against any kind of public benefits. You'd think that by being so against public assistance to take care of children that they'd be all for birth control and sex education so that there will be less welfare cases.

And guess what? All that abstinence-only sex education has done is increase the teen birth-rate. I guess they need to start giving away those chastity promise rings to kids and they'll of course stay pure then!

Cons: Do you support racial profiling?

If you mean do I think airport security would be better off searching the shoes of a 30 year old Muslim man rather than my 88 year old grandmother's shoes, then yes. Yes I do.
