Republican Platform Summary

Donna Said:

Republican and Democratic Platforms?

We Answered:

The Democrats profess they are run by the people when in fact they are run by Unions,or special interest groups claiming they are "for the people". When you examine that the majority of contributions the Democrats receive are from these entities, it is easily to conclude that they are a facade. They are for social engineering and less for the best for the country. If you are a man of no color, you are subject to legitimate hate and lawsuits in their eyes. They care less about people than delegating their power as a means to gain favor from groups they view as tractable.

Joan Said:

what is a summary of the republican party platform?

We Answered:

Strong national defense.

Health care reform that allows for more competition and less government intervention.

Energy independence. With an "all of the above" approach. Fossil fuels as well as clean, renewable energy. Support off-shore drilling.

Support more choice and competition in education for families, so they don't get trapped in a failing public school.

Less government intervention into the free market, and lower taxes..

Judges rule according to the law... not making the law from the bench.

Maria Said:

Conservative vs. Liberal beliefs (platforms)?

We Answered:

Yes, to an extent, because there are liberal republicans and conservative democrats as well! There are two main aspects to politics: Social and fiscal/economic.

Liberals are usually:
*Pro gun control
*Pro choice on abortion
*Pro gay marriage
*Anti death penalty
*For a larger government, meaning more government involvement in our lives, and more government social programs (welfare, subsidized housing, medicaid, wic etc etc)
*For higher taxes, which pay for all the increased government and gov. spending
*Less emphasis on person responsibility and accounability
*Pro political correctness
*Pro universal healthcare (government paid health care, also means increased taxes to pay for it)
*For open borders and giving illegals amnesty

Conservatives are just the opposite!
*Anti gun control (We have the right to bear arms according to the constitution)
*Pro-life
*Anti gay marriage
*Pro death penalty
*Smaller government (only for essentials like roads, water, police, fire and military)
*Less government spending (less gov. programs, the less spending
*Less taxes (which fuels economic growth, people spend more, invest more with lower taxes, which makes for economic growth and increased jobs)
*Anti Political correctness (since politcal correctness is an attack on our freedom of speech)
*For more personal responsibility and accountability
*Against universal healthcare (let the free market decide our healthcare. It allows for competition to make better treatments and medicines available, which becomes stagnant in gov. run healthcare)
*Anti amnesty (conservatives want the damned fence built!)

Erika Said:

Traditional Republican Beliefs....?

We Answered:

Great question. Suprebly shrewd question.

My family have been Republicans since the beginning --the VERY beginning.

Fiscal responsibility is central, absolutely crucial, to tranditional Republicanism. Traditional Republicans want to minimize spending and minimize the economic size of the federal government with respect to the overall economy. That philosophy is ENTIRELY INCONSISTENT with increasing the size of the federal government at the pace "W" has done.

"W" has cut taxes AND grossly incrased spending AND very grossly increasing federal borrowing, especially from overseas.

Traditional Republicans are furious. Many (including me) already left the party from 1992 through the present.

The Bush-altered Republican part is about access to oil, fundamental Christianity, and indifference to debt. See my reference below.

Email me if you want details, I am a rhodium political wonk and electoral college master.

Phillip Said:

I've never voted but don't you think this is a good reason to do so?

We Answered:

Exactly, One would think that a voter would pick the lesser of the two evils, but unfortunately that didn't happen this time all the people seen was that either he was black or the slogan "CHANGE" which is not always a good thing. It sounds to me that you are more of an Independent which is a good thing. You need to vote next time around and you can start in 2010. We can all get rid of these Idiots in office that are failing to do their jobs!!

Jack Said:
