Republican Political Party

Terrence Said:

Is there any political party in another country that is similar to our Republican party?

We Answered:

Our current Republican Party isn't even similar to the normal US Republican party.
Bush & Rove broke the Republican party. They used to be conservatives and not right wing-nuts.

Jeanette Said:

If you choose any political party other than Republican or Democrat, do your votes count?

We Answered:

All votes count. In the case of voting for an independant party like you named, the vote counts in two ways. First, for the candidate you chose to vote for. Secondly, it takes away votes from the main line candidates of Republican or Democrat. Sometimes people will be registered Dem or Rep, and vote for an independant just to help keep poor Dem/Rep choices from gaining office.

Heather Said:

What does it take for a political party to be banned from the political process? Example: republican party?

We Answered:

Can't be done. We put up with you. You put up with us. It's the American way.

Lee Said:

Why do you belong to the Political Party (Republican, Democrat, Green, Libertarian) that you vote for?

We Answered:

I belong to neither. I am registered Independent. But to vote in the primarys, I switch to their party to vote for them. Then switch back to independant.

Vera Said:

How did President Obama become ie evolve into, everything people dislike about the Republican Political Party?

We Answered:

he didn't evolve into anything republican. he is your basic progressive liberal. he misrepresented himself as a moderate on the campaign trail to get the independent vote. they now see him for what he is. they left him and they aren't coming back either.

Neil Said:

In American politics, why was the Democratic-Republican political party split into two different parties?

We Answered:

Original political parties in the US were the Torys and Whigs. As they lost popularity, the Republicans came into being. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.

Then as people became disenfranchised with the Republicans, (considered too liberal at that time), they split off and became the Democrats a conservative party.

In the 1950's, the Southern Democrats led the fight against desegregation with Leaders like George Wallace, while Northern Democrats like the Kennedy's supported desegregation.

By the time the civil rights era ended, Northern Democrats were triumphant and there was a complete reversal of what the party's stood for. Democrats supported liberal causes, and the Republicans supported conservative causes.

Paul Said:

How has the Republican Political Party benefited the “Working Class” in the last 30 years?

We Answered:

haha, republicans caring about the working class. i know you meant that as a serious question but come on, it might as well be a joke.
