Republican Presidents Of The United States

Victoria Said:

Democrats: Would you mind if we the United States elected another Republican president if....?

We Answered:

So, what you seem to be trying to ask is: "Could we get past the party label and vote based on the issues?"

To that I would answer: Yes. But first of all, a candidate who made those promises wouldn't make it past the republican primary. Second, I don't know of such a republican candidate, Third, those aren't all the issues I'd consider when voting. Would this person employ the lessons we SHOULD have learned from the Iraq debacle when dealing with other countries (you know, little things like: don't lie the country into an unjust war... and... if you DO go to war, plan for the aftermath at LEAST as much as you planned your premature "mission accomplished" speech... the little things...)?

Bertha Said:

Was Dwight D. Eisenhower the last good Republican President of the United States?

We Answered:

Eisenhower was easily one of our greatest Presidents, if not the best of all.

And yes, the Republican Party has seriously declined since then. Their last decent President was Reagan, and there havent been any outstanding ones since Eisenhower, youre right.

And I have a feeling if Eisenhower were alive today, he wouldnt care to be associated with the Republicans, or the Democrats for that matter. He had too much integrity and wisdom to be associated with such corrupted political parties as we have today.

Lester Said:

Who will be the Republican candidate for president of the United States in 2012?

We Answered:

It won't be Palin-she is still blamed by several Republicans for the McCain loss in 08, plus there is still the whole lack of leadership experience thing that will just get destroyed by the left.

I still think Tim Pawlenty the former Governor of Minnesota has a good chance, though typically you don't see someone that does not currently hold an office getting elected.

Grassley from Iowa wouldn't be bad, though I have not seen any ambitions of wanting to run.

I don't believe that Perry from Texas has any ambitions-and if he does I don't see the party backing another Texas Governor.

There is always the possibility of a ground swell behind someone that just took office-though I would highly doubt that one.

Santorum and Gingrich-same thing as Pawlenty in that they don't currently hold office.

Bobby Jindal possibly, though I would doubt it after the handling of the Gulf Oil Spill.

Scott Brown from Massachusetts-not likely as he is not likely to carry his home state.

Mitch Daniels from Indiana actually may be the nominee-largely because of the fewest negatives.

With this class, look for a repeat of the '96 elections in that the Republicans will basically "throw away" their candidate. For your data I'm a Libertarian who leans conservative in elections.

Deborah Said:

Will we ever have a white American person as a Republican President of the United States again?

We Answered:

I will answer yes to your question and it may be sooner than you think!!

Allan Said:

Should Vladimir Putin run for president of the United States as a republican in 2012?

We Answered:

He might not be legally able to run, but he is becoming...the most interesting man in the world...

Marc Said:

Do you think that the next President of the United States of America will be Democrat or Republican?

We Answered:

I think the next election will be two ladies. Probably Hilary Clinton(d) and Condelezza Rice(R). More than likely, Rice will win. I know that manily all the blacks will vote for a black female. But, the next President will be Republican. Democrats are just to weak and they never can make up their mind. Have you noticed than Democrats always take an issue the Republicans bring up, and vote the opposite of it??
