Republican Primary Texas

Jerry Said:

How many delegates are there to be won in the Texas Primary for Democrats and Republicans on March 4?

We Answered:

Democrat : 228
Republican : 140

Jon Said:

In Texas can you declare which party's primary you are voting in at the poll?

We Answered:

You declare at the polls, Texas does not have party registration. You walk into the polls, they ask which party you are voting for and they stamp your voter registration card (if you have it) with that particular party. They also stamp there rolls that you are voting as well as which party you are voting for.

Of course there could be slight changes to this process depending upon the district you live in, but Texas does not have party registration.

Enrique Said:

What is Texas' general opinion of Kay Bailey Hutchison?

We Answered:

She gets elected because her opponents have been *worse*.

Sen. Hutchison has looked out only for her own interests in Washington, D. C. while she has been there. She has never had the best interest of Texas in mind.

She abandoned what remained of conservative values when she voted for Bush's corporate bailout, one of the last things he oversaw while in office.

The only good thing I can say about her right now is that she is *not* Rick Perry.

Eva Said:

Shouldn't all good Republicans vote for Hillary in the Texas primary to keep the fighting going?

We Answered:

If a Republican vote for a democrat it will be for OBAMA...My mother is Republican, and will vote for Obama. (I have a very smart mom!!!)

LATINA FOR OBAMA!

Marian Said:

Did you see that Republicans threw the Texas primary to Clinton?

We Answered:

At 11 AM in our local election Tuesday, 5 republicans had voted in precinct 3. 75 Democrats had voted.

We live a couple of hundred miles from Crawford, Texas, and one can get punched for even questioning Bush's stance as a master of the universe around here.

I commented on this type of question before. I have no actual proof, but I see what I see. Also, the conventions were crowded to standing room only. If the "cross overs" had only been interested in voting in the contested commissioners race, they wouldn't have bothered showing up for the meetings that evening. It's hard for me to believe that the county suddenly went Democrat after two general elections that went overwhelmingly to Bush.

To answer the question specifically - No, I hadn't seen the links. Thank you.

Allison Said:

How do Hillary supporters deny that republican McCain supporters put Hillary over the top in Texas' Primary?

We Answered:

Did you also know that more Republicans voted for Obama than they did Hillary? Look at the polls!

Hillary won it fair and square!

Peggy Said:

Did many republicans vote for Hillary in the Texas primary?

We Answered:

No, contrary to your hope.
