Republican Views On Abortion

Billy Said:

Should I be a republican just because of my views on abortion?

We Answered:

You would be an anti-choice liberal. You shouldn't choose your platform over one issue. Very few republicans or liberals agree with their party on every issue.

Laura Said:

Conservatives would you be willing to elect a social liberal atheist Republican to office?

We Answered:

Would depend on who the opposing candidate was.

Velma Said:

What are republican view on issues as abortion, stem cell research, med marijuana, medicare/caid, etc.?

We Answered:

I can't call myself a dyed in the wool republican (more like independent)
Abortion-against it, but I don't think I should be making decisions for anyone else in that matter.
Stem cell-fine as long as it is not government funded. Plenty of pharmaceutical companies out there that could make a go of it without our money.
medical marijuana (or any marijuana for that matter)- should be legalized and regulated.
Medicare-could do better with private oversight. Too much fraud and abuse.
Medicaid-see above. Also should be short term and a minimal payment plan in place.

Hugh Said:

If you are a republican what are your view towards Abortion?

We Answered:

I am completely against 'Partial Birth Abortions', at 6 months and up no one should be getting an abortion, unless there are VALID health issues.

Now for the first couple of months IDK it's a grey area for me and as such I am pretty much on the fence.

I totally support abortions for rape victims, incest/abuse victims and women having health problems.

One issue I do have is that some women have abortions without consulting the fathers. I gotta say I think that is low down and dirty. We should at least give them the oppurtunity to step up and say "I will take the baby and raise it myself if you are serious about not wanting it." So many men do not get the chance to have a voice and I personally think that is wrong.
And please NO haters spouting "a womans right to choose" a father should have some rights too. Just my opinion/2 cents.

Elaine Said:

Democrats, If you had to pick one Republican view you agree with what would it be?

We Answered:

I'm an independent moderate swing voter - I generally agree with the Democrats on social issues (abortion, gay rights, death penalty) and generally agree with the Republicans on fiscal policy, tax issues and 2nd Amendment freedoms.

Kenneth Said:

is right to vote republican just because of their views on abortion?

We Answered:

I think that being a "one-issue" voter is all too common - be it abortion, the war, race, health care, whatever. A voter should look at the entire package, not just one thing. Sadly, many don't.

Antonio Said:

Isn't McCain/Palin's view on abortion more consistent with Christianity?

We Answered:

YES, thank GOD, maybe we can get back to the basics this country was founded on before our "stupid" government allowed every walk of life in here and turned our world upside down. Family values went by the wayside and the greed, hate and undesirables have grown beyond belief.

GOD BLESS AMERICA
GOD BLESS MCCAIN & PALIN
