Republicans In Congress

Frances Said:

Could Republicans taking back Congress in 2010 backfire on the GOP in 2012?

We Answered:

The Republicans, if they were to gain the majority back, would have to stop spending too, if they want to have a shot at the presidency in 2012.

The Republicans need to purge their party of all the "nice guys" and get some people that are truly conservation and have some "balls." People that will fix social security, medicare, and stop bail-outs, hand-outs and crazy spending. People that will slash the budget, and begin a plan of lowering our national debt. If they can't find a firm voice in all of these matters . . . they are screwed and I will personally vote for a candidate who will do what is necessary to preserve our country fiscally.

Barbara Said:

Will the Republicans take the congress in 2010 and make life a living hell for Obama?

We Answered:

You should hope the Republicans take Congress in 2010 to keep us all from going to hell with Obama.

Carlos Said:

House Resolution #615 by Republicans-Congress forced to take the same Health Ins as they pass for us-defeated?

We Answered:

It just goes to show how much the Democrats really care about the American People! If 0bama's health care program is good enough for the American People then why isn't it good enough for the Congress, or has the Congress forgotten that they work for the American People, and they are not special, we don't have nobility in our country last time I checked!

Chester Said:

Will Republicans destroy the economic recovery if they take Congress in November?

We Answered:

I don't know what planet the folks are on who answered your question....but yes, the economy is bouncing back. The industry in my area is gearing up, hiring and working overtime.

To answer your question...the demise of the US economy is the fault of the republicans...and do I think they will put us in a recession...yes, and deep in debt. The republicans are responsible for the National deficit being so high...oh they will say Obama spent money on the stimulus...but that money would have been spent for unemployment. And isn't it better to TRY to create jobs rather than set on your laurels and do nothing like republicans? Two tax cuts for the wealthy in 2001 and 2003...two unfunded wars and people dare to say the Democrats are at fault. I wonder where these people have been hiding.

Julia Said:

Why do Republicans deride government then a Republican Congress votes for record fed. deficits?

We Answered:

Definitely, and what's even worse is their willingness to waste all of that money on the unnecessary war in Iraq, and the rampant profiteering engaged in by their corporate pals. Plus China is bankrolling all of their fun, and we'll be paying them back for decades. But God forbid, we should have saved all of that money and spent a portion of it on taking care of Americans. That would be "socialist" and evil.

Danny Said:

Why do Republicans try to credit Reagan for so much when he had a Democrat Congress?

We Answered:

I think you are right and I confess I never thought of it that way before. I know Republicans who worship Reagan and I just don't know why. I can't think of one thing in my life that has improved because of Reagan's tenure as President. Republicans say he settled the Cold War and brought down the Berlin Wall, but the truth is that Gorbachev won the Nobel Peace Prize for that, not Reagan.

Studying the situation, I think the Republicans worship Reagan because he is the only personable President they have ever had. Think of it....Nixon, not exactly a Personality Kid...then you go back to fellows like Herbert Hoover. No wonder that announcer introduced him as Hoobert Heever. He was probably frightened by his appearance. Then there is George W. Bush, who struts around, stuttering and stammering, and John McCain who blinks and blinks and blinks.

Aside from Ike, who was everyone's friend, Reagan was the only Republican President you could take a picture of and hang on a wall without committing a decorative faux pas. Other than that, I can think of no reason to admire him so. So I will give credit to that Democratic Congress who carried on through the "celebrity circus" that marked the Reagan regime..

Discuss It!
