Calvin Said:
How many seats do you think that Republicans will pick up in the House of Representatives? We Answered:
I want the republicans to take enough seats in the house (current estimates are 50 to 60) that the wicked witch of the west loses her cushy job. As to the senate current estimates are that republicans should gain seats but not enough to get the majority but more than enough to not allow the democrats to run roughshod over republicans.Pamela Said:

House Republicans upset over Pelosi push of new SCHIP bill. Is this fair?We Answered:
I'm for the idea of stopping "this BS of pushing through bad legislation".Wouldn't it be great if they spent 6 months reviewing archaic or unnecessary laws and repeal them, instead of create more?

How come Democrats have held larger majorities in the House than Republicans do today? We Answered:
This was the biggest gain by either party since 1948. According to exit pols, the reason for the vote was The Health Care Law, the way it was passed, the way it's being presented, and the latent effects(higher cost of premiums) for those who already had insurance. We find out that seniors are having their services diminished, that those on Medicaid will have their choices made for them, that not all of us will be able to keep our present coverage, that Congress exempted themselves from the rules(again), and that it does little to actually improve care for many. That might be considered a mandate since it seems to be the issue which drove the change.
