Joe Wilson has secured his place his history as well as the position of the republican party.

Of course they will spend the next 50 years trying to revise the history and they can never get behind anyone that has not or is currently doing time.So JW will be a 'true' republican hero to themselves - a wound to humanity.

I think that as far as being comments, they were inappropriate. One must realize the necessity of staying in favor of the status quo, so long as they're aware of the affect of necessary change.

On the other hand, Occam's Razor suggests that this is another example of foolish Democrats voting without thinking first.

That theory makes no sense whatsoever. What have the Republicans got to gain by doing that? Nothing. In fact, Green is a classic illustration of what has happened to the voting process... Especially in off years. People know absolutely NOTHING about the candidates and vote for them based on skin color or some other arbitrary reason that has nothing to do with the issues. I even heard one woman interviewed who confessed to voting for the guy because he has the same name as a popular singer. This is an illustration of the flaws in the system... not anything to do with dirty politics.
