“Data from an April University of Washington poll “paint a more complicated picture” of the tea party, according to Schaller. In general, the concerns of people who describe themselves as tea party followers are not much different from those who identify themselves as Republicans, notes Gallup.

This survey found that only 35 percent of tea party adherents rated African-Americans as “hard-working.” Among whites who disapprove of the tea party, the comparable figure was 55 percent.

Some 45 percent of tea partiers judged African-Americans “intelligent,” according to the University of Washington poll. By comparison, 59 percent of anti-tea party whites viewed African-Americans as intelligent.” -

the tea parties don't actually help the republican ticket for the next presidential election so I say let them thrive

I don't suppose you forgot about the largest spending bill in history which was signed by Obama? He is not helping to reduce debt. He is no better or worse than what we had before.

To advance their agenda at any cost. We have the Marxist on the ropes and they understand that if this chance gets by them, their assess are relegated back into the caves they came from for another hundred years or so.

I live in Central Texas-one of the major bastions of the Tea Party Movement.

Over 90% of them are former Republicans-I would wager that perhaps less than 2-3% are actually former Democrats, while the remainder belonged to other parties.

They can try to lie all they want to-I was there, I watched it happen with my own two eyes. You won't find more than a tiny handful of signs or other media which attack only the Republicans, but you'll find that almost ALL of them attack the Democrats (a small number attack both-but this is almost purely a Right Wing movement of Former Republicans).

Ask yourself this-where did the Republicans on here go all of the sudden-and where did all these Tea Party people suddenly come from?

They never left-they're still here and they call themselves "Tea Party" supporters now.
