That's a fairly conservative estimate. Check out some of the pictures and comments from Instapundit- lots of rallies in cities with 4-5000 at each event, and many, many smaller rallies in communities across the US. Even if it is only 100,000 as some would like to imagine, that's WAY more than the number willing to gather in support of more government spending. 100,000 newly minted political activists can have a powerful impact.

Excellent point. Those who organize and direct these silly protests are not capable of organizing people to affect real change, and vote out the "miscreants" who they despise.

So in impotent rage they push those who already agree with them to participate in these "protests". I would wager that these protests will not gain the GOP a single House seat, will not push Congress to enact real reform, will not do a single bit of good for anyone but their organizers.

I am certain that those Founders would be ashamed of their descendants and their petty foolishness.

yep. i have a 2 sided sign and one side says " obama.....commander & thief" the other side says " don't spread the wealth spread my work ethic" and my friends says " stop rewarding failure"

I encourage you greatly to go. Oh and don't worry about coming out on TV because the lame media has chosen to ignore the Tea Party. I am just waiting for Nov 3rd - all those Liberal News Anchors saying what happen - how did Democrats lose the House and the Senate. TEA PARTY WHAT!?!?!

I went to a Rick Perry rally here in Katy area (west suburb of Houston) and saw SARAH PALIN speak in person - it was awesome. Her introduction was met by a roar of jubilation I have only seen at a football game when the home team scores the winning touchdown with no time left on the clock.

My little 5 year old girl is a HUGE Sarah Palin fan - I think it is great for her to see a strong female in politics who exudes the morals and values my wife & I want her to have.

Tea Party's give us hope.
