Sounds selfish to me, too. I feel bad for all your relatives who are put in the position of having to choose, but the anger should be at the person who created the conflict by scheduling the "lesser" event onthe same day after you had already notified everyone of your plans.

Don't let this ruin your big day. Your family member may cave to pressure and reschedule before the big date, anyway. If not, be the bigger person and smile and have fun planning your wedding and celebrating it, anyway - don't let her control how you feel about, and on, this wonderful once-in-a-lifetime day.
