Not only do they do that...but several here on YA have posted the same picture of the same ONE man who was holding an offensive sign. But in reality, that particular man was asked to LEAVE the tea party event when he showed up, and the organizers also made a public statement saying that they were not affiliated with this well-known racist. So either the people using the picture as proof that the tea partiers are racist are being dishonest, or they simply failed to do any research about that person and the event.

The tea party events have been non-violent, patriotic, non-racist, and generally quiet events.

Some of the more extreme liberals want to shut dissenters up, and they think (using "think" in the broadest sense here) the best way to do that is to discredit the entire group by playing the race card or to dismiss all the attendees as uneducated rednecks.

It's not racist to call Obama a socialist. I guess you just don't know much -- but one of the alleged "tea party" signs from your link was actually a sign on a business from YEARS ago -- when "English as the official language" was on a ballot.

So you can play the race card, or say that all tea partiers are stupid -- but it really just proves what we already know -- that you are not able to intelligently DISCUSS THE ISSUES.
