i have this romantic imagery of high tea.So when i think of high tea i think of the Chanel suit. Straight skirts and boxy jackets, pearls and white gloves.
I wouldn't think pants would be appropriate, dresses and skirts are a more safe choice.
Then again, i've never been to high tea or seen live in action. My knowledge of it comes from tv shows and movies.
