I like it a lot. I like how you vary the way your characters speak, using "explained" and "retorted" but not over-doing it and throwing "said" in there occasionally. Just a bit of constructive criticism though, maybe you could introduce the story in a more concise way? If you keep taking 70 minutes to write each small passage, it will take you ages, and you may get bored before you finish it...just clean it up a little bit, but it's really good! (Y)

My father died in 1995 and I still dream of him on a weekly basis. In fact, I had a dream about him last night. The Other Side is not as far away as one would think. So I believe that your grandma is still around you and your mother, guiding and protecting you. The cracked skull could be a symbol from your subconscious mind of the hurt that occurred to you mom when your grandma died.
