Little Girls Tea Party Ideas

Lynn Said:

Party themes for girls' beading/craft parties?

We Answered:

Ok well, from about 5 to 10 year olds will like Curious George, Disney princesses, Littlest Pet Shops etc. But my guess is that if you would like something unique don't go for the brand things. Make beads that are more generic. It sounds bad, but trying to get a bead that looks like Hannah Montana is going to be hard and kids may not like the final product. Fairies are always good for girls, also beads that resemble jewels will be good as little girls like to play dress up. For older girls, darker coloured plain beads are good. Think wooden beads and the rebel hippy type of jewelry that they seem to like. Also beads in the shape of guitar picks are cool for the older ones, for some reason they seem to think themselves more rebel with those on. I wish you luck and hope this has helped!

Would a tea party for teens be a good idea?

We Answered:

Themed parties are always fun! Everyone always likes a good theme party! I think that is a great idea! If you are trying to think of other themes, I've got a few! Every year I have a theme party, so here are five examples that I have done...

1. Hawaiian theme - have a small luau, everyone wears leis and you dress up in a hula skirt! you can even make them at the party by cutting garbage bags if you want! Put on some cool hawaiian music, maybe order a hawaiian pizza for jokes, and have fake coconut drinks, it is so fun!

2. Barbie or Girly Theme - you can all have fun doing eachother's hair, make-up, and even designing a t-shirt. You can just buy each guest a plain white T and buy fabric paint to design it. That could be part of their loot bag! And then, when everyone is done their shirts, you can have a fashion show!

3. Summer theme - it could be winter, or summer! All you need to do is get people to bring their bathing suits, a towel, maybe even some sun screen and you guys can have a picnic (indoors if it's winter). If it's winter, maybe go to the public pool and pretend you are on the beach!

4. Western theme - Cowboy's here we come! Everyone gets a hat, and they all dress up as cowboys! It's loads of fun! You put on great music, teach them to square dance, and maybe even watch a cool duster movie. And then, maybe even have a game of horseshoes!

5. Vampire theme - This one is good nowadays because of the Twilight and New Moon fanominon. You can all dress up as vampires, and make your basement like a "haunted house." Turn off the lights, have creepy music and have each guest go down one at a time (parents will need to help out)
They each put their hand in a bowl, you know, the spaghetti and peeled grape tricks! Also, on their way out, have someone jump out and pretend to want to suck their blood, it's totally fun!

Thanks for letting me do this, I forgot how much fun planning parties are! :)

ideas for a birthday party, 4 girl turning 5, it is a march birthday and vry cold and snowy hear,?

We Answered:

Last year, we had our 4 year-old's birthday party in a church basement. It was a big open room so the kids had room to run. We set up different activities around the room: coloring, pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, bean bag toss, etc. We served $5 pizzas. The kids had drink boxes; the adults had coffee. Instead of a cake, we did decorate-your-own cupcake which the kids had a ball with. The party lasted 2 hours which was enough time.
