Is it ok if I wear my wedding dress to a hotel restaurant???We Answered:
I say wear it, I've seen newlyweds pop up in stranger places. IHOP, Walgreens, the mall to name a few.I usually think it's cute and congratulate them. I'm sure you'll get a lot of those and a lot of smiles from older married women. Be prepared for that. You may even get some type of special treatment. The newlyweds got a free meal at IHOP. LOL
By the way your dress sounds it'll be very nice and will fit in with the decor. I wouldn't wear the veil inside, if you're wearing one. But you probably figured that already.
No one will think it's tacky or say anything rude to you, why would they? You're hungry newlyweds! I'm sure alot of them have been in the same place.
Congrats!

What do you think of "Tea Party" candidate Rand Paul and his vague approval of pre-Civil Rights Act racism? We Answered:
I think he's insane. The accusation that this is "gotcha journalism" is simply ridiculous. The man was given NUMEROUS opportunities to clarify his position by BOTH the NPR reporter and Maddow.... and he still stuck to his guns.... saying in effect "if private business wants to discriminate against people on the basis of race or national origin... that is PURELY their business."
AND the terrible thing is that so many are DUMB ENOUGH to believe that is a valid argument.
Here's a great example:
"I can't believe people are this dumb. All he was saying was let the free market decide. If some clansman opens up a white only restaraunt in your neighborhood, chances are you and your friends are going to boycott his butt right out of town without any help from the government. All he's saying is that people can govern themselves....."
Well.... let's start here.... if the argument from the post I quoted held EVEN A DROP of water.... then why was the Civil Rights Act of 1964 necessary in the FIRST PLACE!!!! It was private business (say a Woolworth lunch counter) that was doing all of the discriminating. Black people in 1955 didn't have trouble going to the POST OFFICE... they had trouble getting a sandwich, a bus ride. They had trouble getting into hardware stores and bars and restaurants and grocery stores.... not trouble with government. So the fact that PRIVATE BUSINESS was resorting to splitting people's heads rather than serve them pie and coffee.... that's what made the Civil Rights Act necessary.....
so the argument that people can police themselves and so can business..... PLEASE!!!! Talk to someone who has never read a scrap of history and maybe they will buy what Rand Paul is selling.
Anyone making the argument that racism is dead... or that the blatant discrimination that took place up to 1965 could never happen again... they either live in a dream world or have never visited this country's STILL largely segregated South.
And finally.... no.... the question of whether this is acceptable died with the last of the Southern Democrats.... it has NEVER been acceptable... but in the more backwards parts of this nation it is somewhat still ACCEPTED.... by people who would vote for a person like Rand "I'm not a racist but I defend your 'business right' to be a racist" Paul.

Will Kentucky lose a democrat house seat?We Answered:
If they want jobs and to have a life not dictated by others agenda of more taxes they will vote out the Democrat!!Enrique Said:
Did you hear that Rand Paul is not board certified as he claims? We Answered:
The man is obviously padding his resume. The real boards responsible for certification don't recognize his group.
I wrote him off a while back, he doesn't have both feet in the real world and so making up rules for his own club would fit right in with his other statements.
It is kind of funny though that he recognized the need to have a certificate when it comes to himself, but is so against that in his public speaking.
He is a doctor, he just isn't board certified, which is what you look for in a specialist.
The board that does the certification recognized over twenty other boards, so its not that difficult to get into for other boards of specialities to be recognized by a legitimate organization dedicated to making sure that a specialist is a specialist.
An ophthamologist cares for diseases of they eyes and does surgery, I wouldn't go to someone not board certified for surgery on my eyes. I know what the requirements for extra training and knowlege are when a doctor is board certified for a specialty. Making up your own rules isn't at all the same thing. I don't care where you are politically, but in real life don't go to a specialist unless he is board certified by a recognized group.
