Not really, some people just take things too far and think they need to resort to violence to make their point. Which works against them. But not all tea party members are like that.

I don't agree with the Tea Party movement at all, but I'll try to give you a fair interpretation of what they stand for:

They are basically fiscal conservatives, which means that in theory they object to any government action that's going to cost a lot of money. They started from a series of protests against the stimulus package and bailouts a couple of years ago and have continued protesting health care reform and support for the auto industry. They also oppose "Big Government" (which is another conservative rallying point). A lot of Tea Party protestors seem to be people who simply dislike Obama and have decided to add their voices to the mass.

The term "Tea Bagger" is of a sexual nature in it's origins. Those who can not debate with a level of maturity use such terms in derogatory ways. The Taxed Enough Already movement T.E.A. Party movement for short, is no different than any other groups. There will be those who agree and disagree with their message. Not unlike the two strongest parties we have now. Many terms are used to degrade these as well, such as DemonRats, Repukes...and so forth. It is hard to say what future history book will yield as fact and fiction. The most resent changes in history books to be published for the up coming new editions. Will not include the history of President Jefferson. The political and social landscape of the USA has changed back and forth since the birth of this Nation. During the time after WWII the country changed to a more progressive state, then reverted back and was mostly of conservative through the 50's. The Korean war in to the Vietnam era brought a watered down version of the progressive movement to what many kind of understand as liberalism. Which is a blend of progressiveness and conservatism. Which has been dividing since the 70's. As I see it, anything is possible, but unlikely.
